That Darn Cat!

I made a lot of seed starting containers following the instruction on Wintersown . I filled them with compost from the goat pen, planted them with seeds, and left them in the garden. Some of the seeds have started to germinate, and I was very happy with how they are working out.
Here is a picture of all the containers I made.
No, we did not drink all that coffee. My dad brings the containers home from his work.

I went out to the garden, to check on how thing were growing, and this is what I saw.
I knew exactly who was to blame. It had her name written all over it.

Chablis!

She is a cat that can't just step on one container. She has to walk across all of them, to get the full experiance.

Do you see that smug look on her face?!
Oh well.

What a great gardening idea!

We have a cat here of similar coloring, her name is Tess, and she has an uncanny habit of causing trouble at any given time.: )

I had similar looking tops on the containers the year I attempted winter sowing. I just assumed it was the weather, too harsh for the plastic, but it could have been the critters.

Hope your plants recover! You sure put a lot of effort into them!

Hi Sarah- Thanks for popping bye. Hmm maybe its the it's their coloring that makes them so naughty? ; ) Out of all the cats we have and had, Chablis is by far the most troublesome. At 10 years old now, she has settled down a little, but she has long passed up her 9 lives.

Hi Wendy- I might have blamed it on the weather, if Chablis hadn't forgotten to dust away her paw prints : ) She really didn't hurt much, except she ripped the tops of a few. Your right though. The weather has made them worse now, allowing a lot of moisture loss. So I have to water them frequently.

Ah yes. Cats do love to be smug don't they? :) But she's cute nonetheless. (Probably knows it too! If she's like the cats I know. ;)
